Weiler Labeling Systems to exhibit new solutions at Healthcare Packaging Expo

PKBR Staff Writer Published 08 September 2017

Weiler Labeling Systems (WLS) will exhibit its LC-100 label coder and LP-100 label printer at the Healthcare Packaging Expo, which is due to be held on 25th -27th September in Las Vegas.

The company, which was acquired by Pro Mach in May this year, will showcase LC-100 coder and LP-100 printer, ideal for pharma, medical devices, and biotech products manufacturers and packagers.

Pro Mach said coding labels offline with the LC-100 allows users to supply coded and/or serialized labels to run on existing labelers.

The move minimizes changes to the labeling operation for simplifying validation and keep packaging lines running at peak efficiency.

The LC-100 being displayed highlights Optel's Label Tracker serialization solution along with Domino's D320i laser.

At a speed of 3000 inches per minute, the LC-100 will print variable data on pressure-sensitive labels. the coder will also unwind, print, inspect and rewind labels.

The LP-100 will include a UV-curing drop-on-demand (DOD) printer, which prints high resolution line barcodes, serialized 2D data matrix barcodes and human readable codes at a speed of 7,500 inches per minute.

The printer delivers wear resistance without special coatings or pre-printed areas on substrates. The rejected labels will be removed from the roll by the interceptor in the label coder.

Both LC-100 and LP-100, equipped with ethernet ports, will have the ability to process a label roll size up to 18 inches and will be supported by WLS with warranty and technical service.
